About
The School of Raya by Bhumiputra is what a learning environment can become when architecture dissolves the boundaries between built and unbuilt. Rising gently from the ground through a series of cascading terraces, roofs, and sweeping curves, the campus feels like a ecosystem designed around movement and connection.
Photographing the project, I was awestruck by the way the architecture reveals itself gradually. The abundance of plant softens the scale of the campus, allowing it to exist within its surroundings that feels immersive and deeply connected to nature.
What fascinated me most was the continuity of experience, circulation paths become promenades through landscape, rooftops transform into gardens, and courtyards emerge naturally between the flowing forms. The architecture encourages students to engage with their environment as they move through it.
Inside, this same philosophy continues through it's warm material palettes and generous daylight that falls into the classrooms which maintain a constant visual connection to the greenery outside.
Through these photographs, I try to capture the school's architectural language, and also the atmosphere it creates. A place where learning extends beyond the classroom and where architecture becomes an active participant in everyday discovery.
